An Act directing the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to conduct a highway noise study in Quincy.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation is hereby directed to conduct a comprehensive noise study along the northbound and southbound sides of Route I-93 in the city of Quincy from exit 10, Squantum Street/Milton to the I- 93/Route 3 split and continuing to the Washington Street Bridge in the Town of Braintree, to determine the ambient noise level generated by the existing Route I-93 traffic. Said study shall be conducted by an acoustical engineer employed by or on behalf of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
