An Act to invest more in middle class jobs and less in the relocation of out-of-state corporations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 63 of chapter 23A, as so amended in chapter 228 of the acts of 2018, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following subsection:-
“(h) Any grants over $20 million issued under this section to municipalities or other public instrumentalities used to incentivize corporations to relocate to the commonwealth that have been rescinded due to non-compliance with the terms of said grant issuance shall be redirected and awarded to vocational schools and school districts that include one or more vocational schools to fund the design, construction, and renovation of said vocational schools and equipment purchases and installation for vocational-technical education programs, as defined in section 1 of chapter 74 of the general laws, in order to improve and augment said programs and to reduce student waitlists at said vocational schools."
