Eldridge and other members of the General Court for legislation to ensure equitable representation on the fiscal and management control board.  Transportation.

An Act to ensure equitable representation on the fiscal and management control board.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 200 of Chapter 46 of the Acts of 2015 is amended by striking out the first sentence in subsection (b) and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The control board shall consist of 7 members to be appointed by the governor, 3 of whom shall be members of the board of directors of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, 1 of whom shall have experience in transportation finance, 1 of whom shall have experience in mass transit operation, 1 of whom shall be a representative of an advocacy group for MBTA subway and bus riders in the greater Boston area, and 1 of whom shall be a municipal government leader from a municipality in which a commuter rail station is located, provided that said municipality is not directly served by the MBTA subway system.
