An Act authorizing the City Council of the city of Somerville to appoint a clerk of committees and assistant clerks of committees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding Section 21 of the chapter 240 of the acts of 1899, as most recently amended by section 21 of c. 400 of the acts of 2012, and section 44 of said chapter 240, as recently amended by section 36 of c. 400 of the acts of 2012, the City Council of the city of Somerville is hereby authorized to appoint the clerk of committees and the assistant clerks of committees. Said appointments expire annually.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
