An Act relative to genderless civil service positions.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 31 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking, in line 159 the following:-

''Title'', a descriptive name applied to a position or to a group of positions having similar duties and the same general level of responsibility.

And inserting in place thereof the following new text:-

''Title'', a gender-less descriptive name applied to a position or to a group of positions having similar duties and the same general level of responsibility.
