An Act providing emergency assistance to gateway cities for temporary homeless shelters.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 23B of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 30 the following section:-

Section 31. The department of housing and community development shall establish a grant program, subject to appropriation, to provide funding for the operation of temporary shelters for homeless individuals established in Gateway Cities during the COVID-19 state of emergency. To ensure compliance with recommended COVID-19 social practices, policies, executive orders the department of housing and community development shall develop guidelines governing the implementation of this grant program.
