An Act authorizing the town of Middleborough to lease to the town of Plympton land owned by Middleborough and located in Plympton.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general of special law to the contrary, the town of Middleborough, acting by and through its Board of Selectmen, may lease to the town of Plympton land owned by Middleborough and located in the town of Plympton on the northerly side of Soule Street and acquired by Middleborough by a deed recorded in the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds in Book 8431, Page 269.
SECTION 2. The land to be leased to Plympton contains by estimate 7.5 acres more or less and is bounded by Soule Street, other land of Middleborough and land of Plympton. The land to be leased is part of the town of Plympton Assessors Parcel 23-2-97.
SECTION 3. Plympton may use the leased property only for recreation and open space purposes including access to Plympton’s property in Plympton which adjoins the leased property, for an unpaved parking area which may have a gravel or crushed stone surface and a two-sided information kiosk to identify available recreational activities.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
