An Act relative to school funding.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The secretary of administration and finance in cooperation with the commissioner of revenue and the commissioner of education as appearing in Section 3A of Chapter 70 of the General Laws shall include in said criteria, components, equations, and underlying data necessary to generate the required minimum local contribution, a new component.

Such new component shall, for municipalities with a population of 6,000 or less, exclude data regarding the highest five percent and lowest five percent of property values and resident annual income of said municipalities, from calculations regarding local contribution.
