An Act relative to cybersecurity education in schools.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 1D of Chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in line 26, after the words “keyboarding skills” the following words:- “and the fundamentals of cybersecurity.”
SECTION 2: The Cybersecurity Control and Review Commission shall work in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to design and implement cybersecurity initiatives for students in kindergarten through grade twelve.
