An Act relative to the early detection of cancer.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 175 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking section 47CC and inserting in place thereof the following section: -
Section 47CC. Any individual policy of accident and sickness insurance issued pursuant to section 108, and any group blanket policy of accident and sickness insurance issued pursuant to section 110 delivered, issued or renewed by agreement within the commonwealth shall provide coverage for the cost of magnetic resonance imaging once every 48 months for the purpose of the early detection of cancer.
