An Act relative to PEG access and cable-related funds.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 53F¾ of chapter 44 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 6, after the word “municipality” the following:- “. A municipality may also direct payment of franchise related fees by a cable operator to a designated PEG Access provider of its choosing.”.
SECTION 2. Said section 53F¾, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 7, the word “appropriated” and inserting in place thereof the word “expended”.
SECTION 3. Chapter 352 of the Acts of 2014 shall be amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section:- “SECTION 3. This section shall take effect on July 1, 2020.”
