An Act relative to health care eligibility for those affected by COVID-19.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of health and human services is hereby instructed to submit a time-limited state plan amendment to the centers for Medicare & Medicaid services requesting that the asset limits for the state’s Medicaid program be increased from $2,000 to $4,000 for an individual, and from $3,000 to $6,000 for a couple, for the duration of the state of emergency declared by the governor on March 10, 2020.
