An Act relative to community outreach procedure for retail marijuana establishment license applicants.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 5 of Chapter 94G of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subsection (b), by striking clause 1 and inserting in place thereof the following:-

“the prospective marijuana establishment has submitted an application in compliance with regulations made by the commission; the applicant satisfies the requirements established by the commission; the applicant has held two community outreach meetings, one of which shall be held during normal business hours and one of which shall be held in the evening and the applicant must provide public notice at least 14 calendar days prior to each community outreach meeting; the applicant is in compliance with this chapter and the commission regulations published in 935 CMR 500; and the applicant has paid the required fee.”
