An Act authorizing the Hampshire County Regional Housing Authority to convey a certain parcel of land in the town of South Hadley to the South Hadley Housing Authority.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 419 of the acts of 1976 or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Hampshire County Regional Housing Authority may, subject to approval of the department of housing and community development, transfer, without monetary consideration, ownership of the land, and the buildings thereon, located in the town of South Hadley that is described in a deed dated February 6, 1981 and recorded in the Hampshire district registry of deeds in book 2209, page 145 to the South Hadley housing authority.  The property shall be owned and operated by the South Hadley housing authority to continue to provide housing for families of low-income in accordance with chapter 121B of the General Laws and with the regulations of the department. 

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
