An Act relative to tax title expense.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 62 of chapter 60 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “charges”, in line 17, the following words:- , which shall include all legal fees incurred to date.

SECTION 2. Section 65 of said chapter 60, as so appearing, is hereby amended by placing at the end of the section the following sentence:- A city or town may add all legal fees incurred to date to the tax title account of the land to which the right of redemption is being foreclosed.

SECTION 3. Section 79 of said chapter 60, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 9, 13, 55 and 65 the words “fifty dollars” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- $500 or actual costs, whichever is less.
