An Act to change the name of the board of selectmen in the town of Burlington to select board.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 3 of Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1970, as most recently amended by Chapter 106 of the Acts of 2017, is hereby amended by striking out the words “Board of Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Select Board.

SECTION 2. Section 4 of said act is hereby amended by striking out the word "vacany" and inserting in place thereof the following:- "vacancy".

SECTION 3. Section 8 of said act is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Select Board.

SECTION 4. Section 12 of said act is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, in every instance they appear, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Select Board; and further amended by striking out the word "selectmen", in every instance it appears, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Select Board
