An Act relative to parking permit fees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Any municipality operating a permit program for the parking of motor vehicles shall not charge, for the purpose of acquiring a parking permit for a duration of between 2 days and 366 days, in excess of a daily limit of $7 for each day of said permit's validity.
SECTION 2. The daily limit established in Section 1 of this act shall be increased by $0.50 on December 31 of each year.
SECTION 3. Section 1 of this act shall apply to permits granted after January 1, 2022
SECTION 4. Section 2 of this act shall go into effect beginning January 1, 2022.
