An Act to promote local agriculture and student nutrition.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 223 of Chapter 111 of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended in paragraph (f) thereof by adding the following after the phrase “district-wide wellness policies addressing school nutrition, nutrition education and physical activity”:
“, and school gardens. The regulations may further require coordinating support for school gardens with professional agricultural and horticulture associations.”
