An Act clarifying the application of judicial retirement law.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 65D of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “offices” in line 72 the following words:-
“regardless of whether his service in judicial office or offices was continuous.”
SECTION 2. Said section 65D of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 104, the word “shall” and inserting in place there of the following word:-
“may”
