An Act relative to estimated first pension payments to certain public retirees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision (1) of section 13 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is amended by inserting in line 29 after the word “day” the following sentence:- If a retirement system is unable to make the first such full payment to a member on or before the date required by this paragraph, it shall make an estimated payment to the member on or before said date.
