An Act providing financial relief to small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (2) of subsection (a) of section 2 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subparagraph:-
(R) An amount which, but for this section, would be included in the Massachusetts gross income, in whole or in part, of an eligible recipient, as defined in 16 U.S.C. § 636(a)(36)(A)(iv), as a result of the forgiveness of indebtedness described in 15 U.S.C. § 9005(b).
