An Act to increase competition and reduce costs for constructing water treatment plants.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Subsection (j) of section 44D½ of chapter 149, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following:-

Said regulations and procedures established for prequalifying contractors for work on water treatment plants shall require a general contractor to have experience constructing, modifying or repairing a water treatment plant within the past 10 years to maximize the number of qualified contractors for such work.
