An Act to apply the public records law to the legislature.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The 26th paragraph of section 7 of chapter 4, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “privacy;”, in line 168, the following words:- ; this subclause shall apply to records concerning constituents seeking assistance from the general court in obtaining government services or otherwise interacting with agencies;

SECTION 2. The 26th paragraph of said section 7, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out subclause (d).

SECTION 3. Section 10A of chapter 66 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 1, the words “or municipality”.

SECTION 4. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “municipality”, in line 1, the following words:- ,municipality or the general court.

SECTION 5. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 14, the words “or municipality”.

SECTION 6. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “municipality”, in line 14, the words:- , municipality or the general court.

SECTION 7. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 30, the words “or municipality”.

SECTION 8. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “municipality”, in line 30, the following words:- , municipality or the general court.

SECTION 9. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “agencies”, in line 36, the following words:- and the general court.

SECTION 10. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 44, the words “or municipality”.

SECTION 11. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “municipality”, in line 44, the following words:- , municipality or the general court.

SECTION 12. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “agencies”, in line 49, the following words:- and the general court.

SECTION 13. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “agency”, in line 55, the following words:- , general court.

SECTION 14. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 57, the words “or municipal”.

SECTION 15. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “or municipal”, in line 58, the following words:- municipal, or general court.

SECTION 16. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 66, the words “or municipality”.

SECTION 17. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “or municipality”, in line 66, the following words:- municipality, or general court.

SECTION 18. Said Section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 74, 78, 81, 93 and 96 the words “agency or municipality” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following word:- defendant.

SECTION 19. Said Section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 103, the words “agency or municipality,”.

SECTION 20. Said Section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 106, the words “agency or municipality,”.

SECTION 21. Said section 10A, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “agencies”, in line 112, the following words:- and the general court.

SECTION 22. Section 18 of chapter 66 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 1, the words “the records of the general court, nor shall”.

SECTION 23. Section 19 of chapter 66, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 11, the words “or municipality” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- nor municipality, nor the general court.
