An Act relative to the burial depth of CATV cable.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Public Utilities and the Department of Telecommunications and Cable are hereby directed to review and investigate the current laws and regulations of the Commonwealth pertaining to the Depth of Burial for cable and similar utilities, including fiber optic cable, and recommend such revisions as necessary to ensure compliance and consistency with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and the National Electrical Code.
