An Act relative to National Heritage Areas.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 272 of the acts of 2010 is hereby amended by inserting after section 2, the following section:-

Section 2A.  Any National Heritage Area in this state designated by the United States Congress after August 9, 2010, shall be recognized by the commonwealth in the same manner and subject to the same terms, conditions, and limitations, for named areas under this act; provided that each later designated National Heritage Area shall meet all the criteria for recognition as set forth under section 2.
