An Act to expand veteran license plate eligibility.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Clause 43 of section 7 of chapter 4 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “active service.” in line 336 the following:—

Any person who is entitled, under chapter 1223 of title 10, United States Code, as amended from time to time, to retired pay for nonregular service or, but for age, would be entitled under such chapter to retired pay for nonregular service, shall be honored as a veteran for purposes of qualification for distinctive registration plates under section 2 of chapter 90 but shall not be entitled to any other benefit by reason of this honor.
