An Act relative to the expansion of bicycle lanes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general law or special law to the contrary, a municipality that has received funding from the Commonwealth Transportation Fund established pursuant to section 2ZZZZ of chapter 29 of the General Laws or any other state assistance for transportation development and improvements shall conduct a study to expand the number of bicycle routes on public roadways within the municipality. The municipality shall submit a report including any findings and proposals to the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate, and to the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on transportation and the joint committee on municipalities and regional government not later than 180 days after the effective date of this act.
