An Act relative to representation for regional transit authorities.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 5 of Chapter 161B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “shall appoint a resident” the following words:- “or other qualified person”.

Said section 5 of chapter 161B shall be further amended by removing the words “after representatives from other cities and towns within the region have served their 1-year terms” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “by any city or town in rotation selecting the representative”.
