Kennedy (by vote of the town) relative to authorizing the disbursement of certain funds held in escrow by the town of Westford.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the disbursement of funds held by the town of Westford.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Westford, acting by and through its Select Board, may disburse funds recovered through G.L.c. 41, §81U and currently held in escrow to reimburse private parties for the costs and expenses incurred in completing the subdivision way known as Rome Drive Extension, said parties to be reimbursed in total in an amount equal to the funds currently held in escrow by the town of Westford. The town of Westford shall obtain and maintain with the Town Clerk receipts for all contractors and services engaged by said private parties to complete Rome Drive Extension, and shall incur no liability nor disburse any funds in excess of that held in escrow by the town of Westford for the purpose of completing Rome Drive Extension as of the passage of this act.

SECTION 2This act shall take effect upon its passage.
