An Act relative to police detail work in the town of Hudson.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, a police officer who has served at least 20 year of continuous, full-time service in the police department of the town of Hudson and terminated the service in good standing may be appointed as a special police officer and may work police details within the town of Hudson until the age of 70; provided, however, that any such officer so appointed shall abide by the rules and regulations promulgated by the police department, including firearm qualification and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/automated external defibrillator (AED) and first responder training.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
