An Act relative to the distribution of certain grants to regional tourism councils.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a deadline for the distribution of certain grants to regional tourism councils, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, grants from the amounts collected pursuant to subsection (a) of section 13T of chapter 23A of the General Laws allocated to regional tourism councils pursuant to clause (ii) of subsection (d) of said section 13T for fiscal year 2022 shall be distributed not later than September 1, 2021.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, grants from the amounts collected pursuant to subsection (b) of section 13T of chapter 23A of the General Laws allocated to regional tourism councils pursuant to clause (ii) of subsection (d) of said section 13T for fiscal year 2021 shall be distributed not later than November 15, 2021 according to the current allocation formula.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect as of July 1, 2021.
