An Act further regulating certain licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to further regulate certain licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 15 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 23, the word “nine” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 12.

SECTION 2. Said section 15 of said chapter 138 is hereby further amended by striking out the figure “12”, inserted by section 1, and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 15.

SECTION 3. Said section 15 of said chapter 138 is hereby further amended by striking out the figure “15”, inserted by section 2, and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 18.

SECTION 4. Said section 15 of said chapter 138, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 28, the figure “9” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 12.

SECTION 5. Said section 15 of said chapter 138 is hereby further amended by striking out the figure “12”, inserted by section 4, and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 15.

SECTION 6. Said section 15 of said chapter 138 is hereby further amended by striking out the figure “15”, inserted by section 5, and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 18.

SECTION 7. Sections 1 and 4 shall take effect on January 1, 2022.

SECTION 8. Sections 2 and 5 shall take effect on January 1, 2026.

SECTION 9. Sections 3 and 6 shall take effect on January 1, 2030.
