An Act relative to smoking in public housing.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (b) of section 22 of chapter 270 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
(4) Smoking shall be prohibited in: (i) residences owned or operated by a housing authority or federal or state assisted housing; (ii) public areas within a housing authority or federal or state assisted housing; and (iii) within 25 feet of an entrance of a housing authority or federal or state assisted housing.
SECTION 2. Said section 22 of said chapter 270, as so appearing is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “Notwithstanding”, in line 150, the following words:- paragraphs (1), (2) and (3) of.
