SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and pursuant to Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution, the town of Pepperell, acting by and through its board of selectmen and conservation commission, may convey a parcel of land acquired by deed recorded with the Middlesex South registry of deeds in book 75910 and page 75 for conservation purposes to the commonwealth, acting by its department of fish and game, including consent to a taking of said land by the commonwealth, to be held for conservation purposes in connection with the department of fish and game Unkety Brook wildlife management area.
SECTION 2. The land to be conveyed pursuant to section 1 is shown as Lot 3 on a plan of land entitled "Plan of Land in Pepperell, MA, Lowell Road, Pepperell, MA” dated July 30, 1986, prepared by H-Starr Engineering, which plan is recorded in Middlesex South district registry of deeds as plan number 1092 of 1986 in book 17299, page End.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
