By Representative Meschino of Hull and Senator O'Connor, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4235) of Joan Meschino and Patrick M. O'Connor (by vote of the town) that the town of Hull be authorized to grant up to 5 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.  Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the licensing authority of the town of Hull to grant additional licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the licensing authority of the town of Hull may grant up to 5 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises pursuant to section 12 of said chapter 138, with the proviso that at least 1 of such additional licenses shall be granted to a hotel.

Section 2. A license granted pursuant to this act to a common victualler shall only be exercised in the dinning/function room or rooms and in such other public rooms, or areas, as may be deemed reasonable and appropriate by the licensing authority as certified in writing.

Section 3.  A license granted pursuant to this act to an inn holder shall only be exercised in the lodging rooms, dinning/function room or rooms and in such other public rooms, or areas, as may be deemed reasonable and appropriate by the licensing authority as certified in writing.

Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
