An Act relative to home inspectors.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 224, the following new section:-
Section 224A. By written agreement, any home inspector, associate home inspector, or trainee home inspector licensed or in training pursuant to this chapter, affiliated with and performing inspections for a home inspector or a home inspection company as an independent contractor, and paid on a commission only basis, shall not be considered an employee of the affiliated home inspector or home inspection company pursuant to section 148B of chapter 149 or any other statute.
