Gobi (by the vote of the town) that the town of Oakham be authorized to continue the employment of Russel Willette, a fire lieutenant in the fire department of said town, reports recommending that the accompanying bill (House, No. 4497) ought to pass.

An Act authorizing the town of Oakham to continue the employment of fire lieutenant Russel Willette.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Russel Willette, fire lieutenant of the town of Oakham, may continue to serve in that position until June 30, 2024, the date of his retirement or the date he is relieved of his duties by the board of selectmen of the town of Oakham, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office. The board of selectmen may, at its own expense, require that Russel Willette be examined by an impartial physician designated by the board, to determine such capability.
