An Act relative to the closure of the Saugus ash landfill.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the department of environmental protection shall initiate the closure process as described in 310 CMR 19.00 for the ash landfill located at 100 Salem Turnpike in the Town of Saugus no later than December 31, 2026.
