An Act to permit the creation of a right-turn lane from Edgell Road to Central Street in Framingham.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 97 of the Massachusetts Constitution, Massachusetts General Laws or any general or special law to the contrary, the General Court of the Commonwealth hereby releases so much of land lying to the east of the layout of Edgel l Road as laid out by the County Commissioners under an order dated December 31, 1925 from the provisions of Article 97 of the Massachusetts Constitution to permit the creation of a right-turn lane from Edgell Road to Central Street as "Parcel No. E-1 Area About 2,039 S.F. Area for Part of Right Turn Lane to be Released from Terms of Stipulation Filed as Doc. No. 72992" on the plan titled "Exhibit Plan in Framingham Massachusetts prepared for City of Framingham" prepared by VHB, Inc., Engineers/Scientists/Planner/Designers, Scale: I"= 50' dated November 15, 2021 as planned under Massachusetts Department of Transportation ("MassDOT") Project # 608889. Prior to Finalizing the transaction herein, the City of Framingham, may make minor modifications to the Plan to carry out the purposes of this act
SECTION 2. The City of Framingham shall assume any and all costs associated with engineering, surveys, appraisals, preparation of instruments or documents to be recorded with the Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds or filed with the Registry District of the Land Court and other expenses deemed necessary by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to complete the work required to complete MassDOT Project # 608889.
SECTION 3. No instrument or document executed pursuant to this act shall be valid unless it provides that the area released from the provisions of Article 97 of the Massachusetts Constitution shall be used solely for the purposes described in section 1.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
