An Act relative to licensing of liquor retailers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 25A of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 edition, is hereby amended by adding after paragraph (a) a new paragraph:

(c) An individual, partnership or corporation having identical ownership or common ownership that is granted, in the aggregate, two or more licenses under section 15 may combine the alcoholic beverages purchases of such licenses for the purpose of attaining a quantity discount offered by a wholesaler licensed under section 18.  For the purpose of this section only “Common Ownership” is defined as the same person or the same partnership or corporation holding at least fifty-one (51%) percent ownership of two (2) or more licenses issued under section 15.
