An Act changing the Board of Selectmen of the town of Lee to a Select Board.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 471 of the acts of 1990, as amended by section 1 of chapter 351 of the acts of 1991 is hereby further amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 2. Said chapter 471 is hereby further amended by striking out section 2 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 2. The select board shall consist of 3 members elected by the voters of the town select board members in office at the time of the approval of this act shall serve until the term of which they were elected shall have expired.
SECTION 3. Section 3 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 4. Section 4 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 5. Section 5 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 6. Section 6 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 7. Section 7 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 8. Section 8 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 9. Section 9 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 10. Said section 9 of said chapter 471 is hereby further amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board members.
SECTION 11. Section 10 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 12. Section 11 of said chapter 471 is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 13. Subsection (f) of said section 11 of said chapter 471 is hereby further amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board members.
SECTION 14. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
