By Mr. Lawn of Watertown, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of John J. Lawn, Jr. (with the approval of the city council) that the city known as the town of Watertown be authorized to acquire certain property in the city of Waltham.  Municipalities and Regional Government. [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the city of Watertown to acquire property in the city of Waltham.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The city of Watertown may acquire property located in the city of Waltham for general municipal purposes and active and passive recreation purposes, said property being a portion of the property containing 7.162 acres, more or less, located in the city of Watertown and the city of Waltham shown as “Lot 8” on a plan entitled “Plan of Land Being a Division of Lot 4 Shown on Land Court Plan 15807C Creating Three Lots Waltham Street, Waltham/Watertown, Mass.,” dated June 28, 2012, being Plan 15807D on file with the Middlesex South Registry District of the Land Court, said portion located in the city of Waltham containing 20,596 square feet, more or less.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
