Jones, Jr., Hannah Kane and others relative to authorizing the Department of Public Health to provide guidance to businesses regarding best practices for food donation; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2336) of Kay Khan and Carol A. Doherty for legislation to establish a nursing advisory board within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services; the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2365) of Paul McMurtry and others for legislation to allow restaurants to donate edible leftover cooked food and nonperishable food to local food pantries and assistance shelters; and the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3797) of John Leckey relative to sole emergency medical services providers, reports the accompanying Order (House, No. 5199) ought to be adopted.

Ordered, That the committee on Public Health be authorized to sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House documents numbered 2239, 2272, 2274, 2306, 2326, 2336, 2365 and 3797, relative to food donation and other related matters.
Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or before December 31, 2022.
