An Act relative to filing fees for limited liability companies during the state of emergency due to COVID-19.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith relief for business owners during the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding subsection (d) of section 12 of chapter 156C of the General Laws or any general or special law to the contrary, the fee for filing: (1) a certificate of organization pursuant to subsection (a) of said section 12 of said chapter 156C and (2) an annual report pursuant to subsection (c) of said section 12 of said chapter 156C shall be $250.

SECTION 2. Section 1 shall be repealed 60 days after the termination of the state of emergency declared by the governor on March 10, 2020.
