The committee on Senate Ways and Means, to whom was referred the House Bill authorizing the city of Newton to lease the West Newton Armory for a term of years not exceeding 99 years (House, No. 5365, amended); reports, recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting in place thereof the text of Senate document numbered 3151.

An Act authorizing the city of Newton to lease the West Newton Armory for a term of years not exceeding 99 years.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 3 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, chapter 330 of the acts of 1981, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Newton may lease the West Newton Armory for a term of years not exceeding 99 years.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
