An Act to promote sustainability of state-subsidized family childcare.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  Section 9 of Chapter 15D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2019 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new sub-section (d):

The department shall establish a fund entitled the Family Childcare Sustainability Fund. Said fund shall be used to reimburse family childcare providers for the income lost as a result of the cessation of state-subsidized childcare services pending investigation or appeal, including appeals pursuant to the regulations of the department and those of the department of children and families, administrative appeals, and appeals pursuant to chapter 30A and section 10 of this chapter, where allegations of abuse or neglect are not substantiated or are determined to be unfounded.
