In the One Hundred and Ninety-Second General Court

An Act relative to at-promise youth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subsection (e) of section 2 of chapter 15D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the words “at-risk children” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise youth.

SECTION 2. Subsection (a) of section 17 of said chapter 15D, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in the definition “Family child care provider”, the words “at-risk children” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise youth.

SECTION 3. Said subsection (a) of said section 17 of said chapter 15D, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in the definition “Family child care services”, the words “at-risk children” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise youth.

SECTION 4. Subsection (h) of said section 17 of said chapter 15D, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words “at-risk children” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise youth.

SECTION 5. The second paragraph of subsection (b) of section 1N of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in the second sentence, the words “at-risk” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise.

SECTION 6. Subsection (b) of section 37P of chapter 71 is hereby amended by striking out, in clause (6), the words “at-risk” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise.

SECTION 7. The second sentence of the first paragraph of paragraph (3) of subsection (i) of section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in clause (viii), the words “at-risk” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise.

SECTION 8. The first sentence of the second paragraph of said paragraph (3) of said subsection (i) of said section 89 of said chapter 71, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in clause (v), the words “at-risk” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- at-promise.
