An Act providing charter school access for local students.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The first sentence of subsection n of section 89 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “located” the following words:- , provided a first priority for enrollment shall be given to students residing within a 1 mile radius of a commonwealth charter school.
SECTION 2. Section 1 shall take effect on January 1, 2023.
