An Act relative to regional vocational school agreements.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 71 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 14E, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, the following section:-

Section 14F. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, an agreement to establish a regional vocational-technical education school district pursuant to section 14B shall be reviewed and subject to amendment every 5 years by the regional vocational-technical education school district committee and the school committees of the member towns. The agreement and any amendments thereto shall be submitted to the school committees for approval and shall be approved by a majority vote of each school committee.

SECTION 2. All agreements establishing a regional vocational-technical education school pursuant to section 14B of chapter 71 of the General Laws that have not been reviewed and approved within the past 5 years shall be subject to review and amendment as of January 1, 2021.
