An Act authorizing the director of the state office of fishing and boating access to issue an annual general permit to the town of Orleans to permit swimming from the state-owned properties located on bakers pond road.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the director of the state office of fishing and boating access shall issue a general permit to the town of Orleans pursuant to 320 CMR 2.03 to allow for swimming by the general public during the months of June, July, August and September of each and every year, at the state’s public access facility located at 110 Bakers Pond Road, Orleans, Massachusetts.
SECTION 2. The town of Orleans shall continue to prohibit the use of internal combustion engines of Bakers Pond Road and shall undertake water quality testing as required for the term of the permit.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
